![]() In the modern world, few elements of New Testament Christianity are dismissed as “un-Christian” like church discipline. A recent survey of 3,000 Americans revealed 52% think you can be a Christian with a full worship-life and never attend church services or identify with a local church. 56% do not believe that sermons they hear preached from the Bible have any authority over their lives. And 82% do not believe that a local church has any right to tell them they are not faithful Christians. This may seem perfectly natural and right to some, but it represents a radical departure from the teachings of God’s Word. This sermon is a study of God's Word concerning the biblical doctrine of church discipline and how this doctrine helps us identify the true church in this world of religious confusion.

What an amazing theme is the Kingdom of God. The Church is a major part of the Kingdom and understanding the Bible's teaching on this subject will both increase your appreciation of the Gospel and guard you against many popular errors of the modern religious world. Does the Church save us? Does the "Left Behind" series accurately portray the teaching of the Bible? Should Christians participate in carnal warfare? Can the Gospel still triumph in the modern world? As different as these questions seem, they are all answered in this study!
![]() It is said that all men possess some creed. This is true, as a creed is a belief and all men believe in something. But what does the true Church of Jesus Christ believe? What is the doctrinal statement of New Testament Christianity? What is the confessional standard of entrance into and fellowship with the Body of Christ? This question not only addresses the vital issues of unity among believers, purity of doctrine, and identity with primitive Christianity, but it also addresses our eternal destiny. The true creed of the Church is marvelously simple and wonderfully profound all at once. It excludes all error and embraces all truth, and yet it can be spoken with a single breath! We hope you will listen carefully and be blessed by this study! ![]() "Shepherd the flock of God which He purchased with his own blood..." (Acts 20:28) One of the identifying marks of the Church of Jesus Christ its the provision God has made for its organization and structure. Divine wisdom has ensured that the Church has the perfect system for growth, government and discipline. This lesson examines the Bible patterns for church organization and discusses the terrible consequences of historic digressions from those patterns. ![]() This sermon is an historical, doctrinal and prophetic study of the time and place in which Jesus established the Church. This subject is a theological landmark of scripture; it divides history and sheds the light of truth on true religion in the midst of much human error. We encourage all to carefully listen and compare these things with scripture. "And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever." (Daniel 2:44) Preached at Crestview Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, Texas. ![]() The analogy of Jesus Christ as the foundation and cornerstone of the Church and the Christian Faith is one of the most beautiful pictures in the Bible. Understanding it will help one to know why Christianity is the only hope for salvation and success in life, and why the Church that we read about in the Bible is the only Church that will stand and succeed in its divine purpose! We hope that this lesson will encourage and edify you. ![]() This sermon is the first installment in a new series entitled: Why the Church of Christ? We live in an era of inclusivism and personalized everything, including religion. Because of this, people give little thought to which church or religion they are associated with (if even taking such things seriously). This series is designed to show that the Church is a part of God's plan to save mankind from sin, death and hell; also, that Jesus built one Church and purchased that Church with His own blood. It is our conviction that the only true church is the Church that is presented in the Bible, that is the church belonging to Jesus Christ. It is our hope that after studying through this series all will plainly see that we need to be in Christ's Church. In this sermon we examine the question: Who Established the Church of Christ? As we look to the Bible for an answer to this question, we will consider the implications of an "established church" and also look through history at some fact concerning the origin of various human denominations.
